About Us

Gabriela Arredondo 
Gabriela Arredondo is a Junior (class of 2022) at Barnard College from Hialeah, Florida. She is majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Environmental Science. In CS, Gabriela is interested in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. On campus, she is a peer-educator for Well-Woman,an upper-classmen Residential Assistant, and one of the Diversity Chairs for Women in Computer Science! Additionally, she is the proud President and member of Sabor: Columbia's first Latinx dance troupe. As part of the DHC, she has really enjoyed working with a group of dedicated and brilliant individuals who are committed to using tech for the good of people!

Elizabeth Burton
Elizabeth is a Junior (class of 2022) at Barnard College from Augusta, Georgia. She is pursuing a double major in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies & Education. Her focuses are on archives and curricula produced by and about African Americans, particularly in the southern

United States. Elizabeth also enjoys studying in the relationship between the education system and media, and she hopes to continue to find ways to bring what she has learned at Barnard into “the real world.” Outside of the classroom, she is interested in mentorship, social justice and arts education. Elizabeth works as a research assistant in Barnard's Education department, a student admissions representative, and with the Columbia University chapter of Young Storytellers. 

Miranda Jones-Davidis
Miranda is a Junior (class of 2022) at Barnard College from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is majoring in Political Science with minors in History and Spanish. She focuses on political corruption, digital privacy, immigration, and media. Miranda is also interested in the intersections between technology, the humanities and social sciences, and political institutions. Outside of the Digital Humanities Center and the classroom, Miranda is interested in music, technology, and social justice. She programs radio shows with WBAR and WKCR and is also active in clubs such UndoCU and Barnard Prison Abolition Collective.
